Most traditional AGVs use incremental encoders, but the problem of AGV zero loss will be found in the application process. When the AGV is powered off, the main controller needs to remember the angle value of the steering wheel, and the AGV cannot move anymore after the power failure, otherwise the zero point memorized by the main controller will shift, causing the AGV steering wheel zero position to be lost, although it can be increased by reference Point to correct the position of the steering wheel, but there is still no guarantee that the position is accurate before the reference point. In order to completely solve the problem of the zero point loss of the AGV steering wheel, an absolute encoder is needed at this time.
