CPR is short for "Counts per Revolution", meaning the number of counts per turn, which describes the resolution of the encoder. For example, "2000CPR" means that the output signal of the encoder produces 2000 counting pulses for each revolution.
SSI stands for Synchronous Serial Interface, synchronous Serial Interface. SSI encoder is a kind of encoder that uses SSI protocol for data communication, and its output signal is transmitted by synchronous serial interface.
The stability of encoder signal is one of the key factors to ensure the accuracy of position and speed measurement. When the encoder signal is interfered, the measurement accuracy will decrease, the error will increase or the signal will be lost, which will seriously affect the operation and control of the machine. The following are several methods to solve the encoder signal interference:
Push-pull output means that the output signal is driven through a device such as a transistor or MOSFET. The output port is usually a switching circuit that can output a signal at a high or low level. This output mode is simple and easy to implement, and the output signal has strong anti-interference ability, but because of the single-ended output, the signal attenuation and interference may occur during long-distance transmission.
Incremental encoders obtain position information by calculating the number of output pulses, which are obtained by converting the number of detected photoelectric signals from the photoelectric converter inside the encoder, so there may be errors. Zeroing is designed to eliminate these errors.
According to the operation mode of the incremental encoder, the pulse counter determines the position information by counting the number of pulses. But because the pulse counter is finite, it is possible for the counter to overflow if the counter count reaches its maximum value.
